McIntyre Speaks at Annual Mayors’ Prayer Breakfast

Washington, D.C. – Today, February 10, 2014, U.S. Representative Mike McIntyre delivered the keynote address at the 16th Annual Mayors’ Prayer Breakfast in Wilmington. The breakfast, which was held at the First Baptist Church Activities Building, served as an opportunity for local elected officials and community leaders to join together in a spirit of unity and pray for wisdom for the nation and eastern North Carolina.

Congressman McIntyre stated, “The power of prayer can never be underestimated.  Indeed, prayer knows no bounds.  What a blessing it is to be joined by our region’s leaders who understand that true leadership must be undergirded with prayer and guided by our faith in our Creator.”

The Mayors’ Prayer Breakfast follows the 62nd Annual National Prayer Breakfast which was held in Washington D.C. last Thursday. Congressman McIntyre attended the National Prayer Breakfast along with the president, members of Congress, and 3600 guests, representing 140 nations and all 50 states.

Congressman McIntyre is the Co-Chairman of the Congressional Prayer Caucus.
