Washington, D.C. -- U.S. Representative Mike McIntyre recently received the N.C. Troopers “Legislator of the Year” Award because of his support on issues of importance to troopers and highway safety.

In making the presentation to the Congressman in his Washington, D.C. office, Trooper Daniel Jenkins Jr. Vice President of the N.C. Troopers Association, stated, “This is one of the highest honors we can bestow upon a non-member of the Troopers Association, and we proudly present it to Congressman Mike McIntyre.”

The N.C. Troopers Association presents this honor on a periodic basis to individuals who have served the public with distinction and commitment to the ideals of public and highway safety, dedication to others, and always helping North Carolina.
